Building my personal brand (and this blog)
Starting to build my personal brand was one of the first challenges of my master's degree in digital marketing. I didn't know where to start... until I found myself talking to the camera. Here I tell you how and where I started.
This was my first step: a sincere introduction, as I am, told on video. But it was also a way to begin discovering who I am, where I'm headed professionally, what I want to show, and how to communicate it in a way that connects with others.
What this module made me think about
When we were asked to work on personal branding, it took me a bit by surprise. I'd never stopped to think about it before. We're constantly solving problems, and we rarely ask ourselves questions like: Who am I?, What can I contribute?, What makes me different?
This part of the course made me stop and think about myself from a different perspective. And understand that I don't need to have everything figured out right away. The important thing is to move, to explore, to dare to begin.
And what did I do with all that?
The task was simple in theory: talk about yourself. But at first I didn't know where to start. Finally, I decided to do it in video formatI'm an outgoing, approachable person, and I felt this was the most natural way to express myself. I wanted to show myself as I am.
This blog as part of the path
I also realized that this blog can be another tool in this whole process. I don't just want to share things related to digital marketing, but also topics that interest me, such as Business Intelligence, tools, useful ideas… Things that are useful to me, but also to anyone who comes here.
Escribir me ayudará a ordenar mis ideas, a ver mi evolución y a seguir construyéndome poco a poco como profesional. Aún no tengo una marca personal totalmente definida, y no pasa nada. Estoy en camino, y cada paso —como este— suma.
